Even the best tools will be subject to breakage if improperly used.

Advice to avoid breakage:

• Cutting edges must be well ground.
• Never lever the tools.
• When perforating reinforced concrete and meeting a reinforcing steel rod (penetration arrested, metallic sound), relax pressure. Failure to do so may result in damage to the tungsten carbide coating.
• In cold weather, warm tools up before commencing work.
• Ensure that the tool chuck ring and hammer rotation bush are not worn. Keep both well lubricated.
